Vinyls I am putting on my Wish List:

Top 5 Favorite Albums

I have a hard time picking favorite artists, albums, songs, genres…. you name it. Here are my favorite albums ATM:

1. Say Anything - …Is A Real Boy

I can’t ever get sick of the band, never mind the album. I feel that this album has related to me in so many different ways believe it or not, and I have such a strong connection to it. Plus, I chose this album while I went under on multiple drugs during my wisdom teeth extraction. It’s a really crazy choice of music when you’re on drugs listening to music about the holocaust.

2. Neutral Milk Hotel - In The Aeroplane Over The Sea

…Can this album even be questioned? Do I need to explain why? No, didn’t think so. It’s just down-right amazing. Every song. Jesus.

3. Joanna Newsom - The Milk Eyed Mender

She’s like my idol. I’ve wanted to pick up a violin or harp since the day I knew what each of them were. Instead, I’ve got a guitar, ukulele and accordian. Her music makes me daydream as soon as it comes on. I feel like I’m in England again. Plus, SHE’S GORGEOUS. This album is great too, and addicting.

4. Blink 182 - Self Titled

All the music that I got into growing up is because of this band. My first album, and first favorite band I made my own decision about without the opinion of my older sister. Jesus, how can you ever get sick of hearing this? Violence is my favorite song on this album, hands down. Love you forever and ever, Blink 182.

5. Bright Eyes - I’m Wide Awake It’s Morning

Conor Oberst should go down in history, seriously. Just saying. I hope everyone ALIVE hears this at some point.

“I read the body count out of the paper, and now it’s written all over my face. No one ever plans to sleep out in the gutter, but sometimes that’s just the most comfortable place.”

I found a liquid cure for my landlocked blues

it will pass away like a slow parade

it’s leaving, but I don’t know how soon.

“My mind races with all my longings, but can’t keep up with what I’ve got.”

— Bright Eyes, ‘Road To Joy’

“I keep drinking the ink from my pen
and I’m balancing history books up on my head
but it all boils down to one quotable phrase
“If you love something give it away”
